The Story
Ahwaa is a safe place for the LGBTQ community of Middle East to help to support one another through their experiences. Ahwaa is a special place because it blends anonymity, a forum, and story telling all together. The topic pages are designed so the topic writer can write completely free form and the members of the community can respond to any particular point in the conversation which is any ending of a sentence. So every period, exclamation mark and question mark becomes a place where users can respond to one another. We loved working on this project because we we’ve seen the impact it’s had on the user’s lives. One of the best examples of a small and tight community on the web.
